Our Story.

Well, i guess i should explain the "our" in Our Story.
While i'll be doing most of the projects, writing, and updates i can't leave out my brother.
We have a four year age-gap between us but we share a bond that is unbreakable. We get on each others nerves, laugh like hyenas, poke fun, drop kick each other, and have some real talk about Jesus.
We have our house together and share it with a roommate, Maria.
. . .
Let's rewind a few years...
We grew up in a home that loved Jesus. As we got older we learned that while life isn't fair, God is always present and comforting. We lost our parents within two and a half years of each other. Our father passed away in 2002 from a heart attack and our mother in 2004 from Leukemia.
To make a long story short we were surrounded by family and friends who loved us, encouraged us, witnessed to us, and helped us keep our sanity. One set of our grandparents were able to move in with us for a few years to help us get through school and keep an eye on us. These situations helped shape our view on family and how important it is to build relationships and keep relationships with those individuals in your life that the Lord has blessed you with.
Back to the present...
The broseph is currently away as a sophomore in college and hanging out at home with my manx cat Tobi, and awesome roommate and sister in Christ Maria.
Every day presents new challenges, adventures, and learning experiences.
I'm not the most 'handy' person and my experience with an electric drill is comical, but i'm going to give this everything i've got [with the help of family/friends/professionals]. This will be my place to share stories, pictures, moments for you to make fun of me, real life experiences, mistakes, and much much more. This isn't simply a DIY, cooking, or cleaning blog; this is a place where i can keep track of my life and  allow you to join me on the journey.

Thanks for taking the time to read my random stream of consciousness.

Somehow I JUST noticed your tabs here!?!? I don't know how I never saw them before! Glad I did too! It was great to get to see a few more pieces of who you are through each one.

Amy, i came to your page today & saw you got a new design! I love it! I saw the "our story" & was like "OUR?" :) Love that you & your brother are so close.

But my heart dropped when i read that you have lost both of your parents. I am so sorry, but so glad to hear that others in your family stepped in & showed you Christ's love.

Love getting to know you through blogging!
